How can I identify the Lot Number and Expiration of the T-Cube?

The lot number and expiration of the T-Cube can be found on the outside of each box.  There is a white label on the side of the box which provides the lot number and expiration date. The lot number and expiration date of the T-Cube can also be found on the outer pouch that each individal test device is packaged within.

How can I identify the Item Code of the T-Cube?

The Item Code of the T-Cube can be found on the outer pouch for the cube and on the label of the inner carton containing the cubes.

What are the precautions for performing a test with the T-Cube?

T-Cube is for external use only.  Do not use if the pouch is punctured or not sealed. The test cannot be used more than once—discard after first use. Do not use beyond the expiration date shown on the pouch. Keep out of the reach of children.

Users should follow the appropriate federal, state, and local guidelines concerning the frequency of assaying external quality control materials. Though there is an internal procedural control line in the test device termed the ‘Control Region’, the use of external controls is strongly recommended as good laboratory testing practice to confirm the test procedure and to verify proper test performance. Positive and negative controls should give the expected results. When testing the positive and negative control, the same assay procedure should be adopted.

PRECAUTIONS
1. Not to be used for clinical diagnosis.
2. Do not swallow.
3. Discard after first use. Do not use more than once.
4. Do not use the test kit beyond expiration date.
5. Do not use the test if the pouch is punctured or not sealed.
6. Keep out of the reach of children.
7. Do not read results after 5 minutes.
8. Discard the collector and cube once administered.

STORAGE AND STABILITY
1. Store at 4ºC – 30ºC (40ºF – 86ºF) in the sealed pouch up to the expiration date
2. Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
3. DO NOT FREEZE.
4. Open before collection and testing

How do I identify an INVALID drug test result with the T-Cube?

If a colored band is not visible in the Control Region (C) or a colored band is only visible in the Test Region (T), the test is invalid. Another test should be opened and run to re-evaluate the specimen. If the test still provides an invalid result, please contact customer service toll free 1-866-323-7336. When calling, be sure to provide the Lot Number and the Item Code of the test shown on pouch.

How do I interpret a PRELIMINARY POSITIVE drug test result with the T-Cube?

A colored band must be visible in each control region (C) to indicate that the test is valid. If no color band appears in the appropriate Test Region (T), a preliminary positive result is indicated for the drug corresponding to that specific test zone. The test area must be white to be preliminarily positive. Additional testing is necessary to confirm the preliminary positive results. Positive results should be “confirmed” by an alternate method such as GC-MS or LC-MS/MS.

How do I interpret a NEGATIVE drug test result with the T-Cube?

A colored band must be visible in each control region (C) to indicate that the test is valid. If a colored band is visible in any of the Test Regions (T), it indicates that the concentration of the drug in the corresponding test zone is absent or below the detection limit of the test. Certain lines may appear lighter or thinner than other lines. ANY COLORED LINE VISIBLE IN THE TEST REGION (T), SHOULD BE INTERPRETED AS A NEGATIVE RESULT. NO MATTER HOW DARK OR FAINT

What if I forget to read the T-Cube test results at the specified times

If you read the result too early or after the specified time limits, the test results may be inaccurate and should not be considered.
