Criminal Records Checks

Employers can access a variety of sources for criminal records; which include County, Civil, Statewide or Federal records.

County Criminal Search

Hand search reporting felony and.or misdemeanor court records in the county you are requesting.  Mutiple counties may be selected per applicant and the counties may be found by the county name, city, or zip code.  It is recommended searching by the county of residence and/or prior counties of residence, employment or education. 7 year search history if available. Turnaround time 1 - 3 days

.Statewide Criminal Search

Access the statewide criminal repository in the applicable state, typr of data may vary.  Many states do not offer a statewide criminal report.  It is important to know that not every county may report to the state level, leaving voids.  This report should not be the sole source of criminal information.  Turaround times vary by state.

ProScan National Database Search

Department of corrections and court records from 34 states where information is available.  Includes Office of Foreign Asset Control, (also referred to as the Terrorism Sanction Watch List), Sex Offender Registries where available, and searches our internal database to crosscheck prior county and state criminal records.  Should only be used in conjunction with current County and/or State Criminal search for employment decisions.  States NOT included: AL, CA, CO, DE, HI, LA, MA, MD, ND, NH, NM, PA, SD, VT, WV, WY. * Limited Database 

Sex Offenders Multi-State: This database contains currently registered violent and sex offenders with felony convictions records.  This data has been compiled from violent and sex offender registries in 33 states.  Because the majority of the states in this compiled database only provide quarterly updates or report only the most serious violent or sex offenders; further investigation via county level research or statewide criminal record databases are strongly recommended.  Updates of this violent and sex offender registry database reflect the most current and accurate information available.  However, some offenders' names may have been removed from the state's registry after the last update. Included: AK, AL, AZ, CO, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NY, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA (KIng Co), WV, WI, WY. Turnaround Time 1 Day
